twenty three

Sometimes it’s hard to come up with, you think but you don’t remember.  Other times it’s easy and you remember and can retell every moment.  There are things that should be on top but aren’t for me - like graduation, my degree is now covered in an artistic amount of dust.  But it’s not terrible to not remember great events, it’s worst when you can’t remember terrible events.  Then life is just a mundane progression with no more adventures.  And so without further ado the top three moments of my twenty third year of life.

1.  New York, New York:  The big hyped up city, of course it would make the list, but not really for the usual reasons.  In ways New York was even disappointing, it isn’t all that it’s hyped up to be - but then again if time and money were not an issue I’m sure it’d be much more fantastic.  I loved walking the city, though at times it was just limping.  I love the bigness of it all, I loved their burger joints but I wouldn’t say the city is magical.  It’s big and busy and that’s what made it fun.

2.  Harrison Hot Springs:  This was a different type of trip, 4 dudes going to stay in a 2 person room because one dude’s girlfriend had bailed on the trip.  It was totally low key, no plan, no agenda, no worries.  Late night eating, star gazing, rented a boat, found a waterfall and just chilled.

3.  Doing OATs:  I know they’re supposed to be stressful and you’re supposed to study lots.  Too bad they cost so much money but if that weren’t an issue I’d just write these all day.  I took two this year, didn’t study at all for the first one and only really got a days worth of reading in for the second.  They are fun to write, I get to race the clock and destroy questions.  Problem is I don’t care much to apply to schools now, the marks are okay, better in math and english than bio chem & physics.

Well there we have it.  I wonder what the next year will bring.
